What kind of cellphone do you have?

Postby LassTiara » 17 Jan 2011, 15:13

Hey everyone, I guess this is a pretty old and popular question, but I actually would like to make a discussion about cellphones. And please don't just post your phones manufacturer and model, tell us more and feel free to ask questions from those that have same kind of cellphone or just make a discussion about it.

I have two current cellphones, my main cell is iPhone 3 G S 32GB (yeah I know, old piece of...) but it actually fits perfectly on my needs right now. I can use Skype, mail, facebook and twitter... and UEPC thru it, which is really important to me since I don't like to carry around my MacBook and I need to stay connected to this surreal world of internet!

My second phone is Nokia 7210 (white-pink) which is a nice basic phone that works when needed. So if and when my iPhone fails, Nokia saves (sorry Apple). It's always good to have back-up phone, esp. when using a smart phone that's not even the newest model, since those things may fail you pretty easily.

And feel free to ask advises if you have any problems with your phone, this thread is also for giving and receiving help!

I have two cellphones that I use... One of them is an old Nokia 1100. The screen is only black and white, and there's not a lot of features, but it has never stopped working (except for when I forget to charge it..), and it boots very quickly! My other cellphone is a Sony Ericsson T707. It's a lot newer, but it's not a smartphone or anything like that - just a normal cellphone. It can be a bit slow and/or messy at times. I use it for pretty much everything except making calls - I still use my 1100 for that.

A way old one. I've had the same model for about 5-6 years. It's one of the first models I ever had. I crashed it some times, but was then capable of just getting a new one of the same kind ^^
At this time, this current phone is totally useless. It's supposed to be able to play music, take pictures, and call and sms etc. So far a number of things have crashed on it. :S The camera-button is out of function, so I can't take pictures, the speakers are messed up, so there's only vibration to alert me when someone is texting or calling me, and this ofc also means I can't play music on it. Aside from this, it holds only about 120 messages(Inbox AND sent) total, until it starts saying the memory is full. x.x And as a last thing I can barely hear the one I'm speaking to when on the phone with someone.
All of these things conclude in the fact that I use our household's phone instead of my mobile phone for talking to people. xD

I should probably get a new phone however... I don't have any money, and the ones I have are to be used on games :D

Blackberry curve. :P The phone that all the "posh" kids had, until everyone got one for Christmas and now they're everywhere.

iPhone 3GS (32 GB) :) I think it is almost perfect, only thing I don't like is no Bluetooth file sharing. :| And no support for Flash. (But I think Flash for cell phones = Lag  ) But I don't know better phone than iPhone. I don't like Android or Symbian. (And Windows for phones without support for "computer Windows" programs... ) That's all. And I am very sorry for my very bad English.
My English is very poor...

Looks like Samsung C3510 Genoa Corby Pop is the name. I didn't remeber it. :P I bought it one year ago for 99 € and I'm pleased with it. I use it for SMS, calls and Internet only. I don´t really need anything else...

This might not be entirely in tune with the topic, however it is related. In recent days I have been considering getting a phone. I want to get an Android based phone, does anybody know of a good quality mobile that runs Android and is solid and not some cheap crap that breaks about two months?

I've had a HTC Tattoo phone for about a year now. It works really well and I have been fully satisfied. It replaced a Sony Erickson who went to pieces in the joystick. It was at that moment I decided to switch to touch screen. My HTC is equipped with android operating system, it works perfectly, although my model might not be the fastest on the market. I prefer open source, which I believe shut out the iPhone.
I recommend the HTC phones. It's probably a HTC I'll look for next time that I do not think I can do without new hardware
