Hey guys, I just want to make a proposal :)

Just to get this thread running again, I would really also like to hear small parts of what you think are the best lyrics of any song you've ever heard. Naturally, you have to tell the rest of us, why this is the piece of lyrics you chosen. Pure posting of lyrics will be deleted as considered spam.

I will start :D

From: Time Of Dying- Three Days Grace
I will not die, I'll wait here for you
I feel alive, when you're beside me
I will not die, I'll wait here for you
In my time of dying

I've chosen this piece of lyrics, because I find not only sounding good, but also because of the lyrics itself. I think there's a lot of meaning to it, and it puts the feeling of love in perspective, although it is not mentioned directly. It tells about a feeling the character in this song has for another person, and tells about him waiting for his love. He wants to somehow meet her again, before he dies. I think it's filled with a lot of emotion, and it fills me with courage, and determination when I listen to it.

As you can see, I also put a link to the song, for youtube. You can do this if you feel that the lyrics need to be heard before understood correctly.

Now, people, come with your suggestions for some awesome lyrics :D And ofc. it is very much allowed to comment on the lyrics others posted.

Go nuts ;D

Best lyrics? Alright then.

Spoiler: Show
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting throught the wind
Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep
Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that tehre's still a chance for you
Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you can open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on slet your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on slet your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em goin "Oh, oh, oh!"

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Best because uh, it's good for cheering you up when you feel useless/down, I guess? XD It's not my favourite song, but I think Katy did a good job with the lyrics in this one. XD

After a while I finally realised it. These are the best. Totally.

Spoiler: Show
AMORPHIS - MY SUN

Slowly turns the key of time
In the lock of promises broken
In mute silence of my space
I crouch under my yearning
Under my yearning

The works of my gods receding now
Evade my grasping hands

Her hair I would long to adorn
With glowing stars
Her brow with shining sun
In silver I would trace
The moonshine of her grace
The shining one

Perfection of the skies
I knew and memories of my days
Fade away beyond my reach
And change to lonely nights

But ever so slowly
Turns the key of time
In a rusty lock
of broken promises

I listen to a lot of different music, but my favourite genre must be pop.
I really think it's cool, that simple instrumental chords and rythm, that is often seen in pop, can make such a good sound. It's like magic :D
I also like, that pop songs mostly has positiv lyrics, and it's a genre that really makes you happy.

But don't think, that i'm only listen to pop. I like the rock genre too, and my favourite band is a Danish band called "Nephew", who is an electronic rock band, who is known for mixing their lyrics with Danish and English.
I also listen to bands like: Metallica, Nirvana, Linkin Park, Green Day, Sonata Arctica, Scorpions, AC/DC and a lot more.

My favourite artist is the popsinger James Blunt. He can really write song with his hearts and he is laying a lot of feelings in his songs. His songs really touch me.
I also listen to artists like: Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and, Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera, Gavin Degraw and a lot more :D

Definately rock! If it has to be a subgenre it has to be folk rock. My favourite artist, Bruce Springsteen, is singing folk rock, so ofc. that's my decision. John Mellencamp is good aswell though..

Not that I don't like other kind of music. There's a few pop songs i like aswell. at this moment it's Chester See (nigahiga, KevJumba etc.'s friend). I love that guy!

I love Japanese rock and I sometimes listen to Korean pop. My favourite bands are SuG (Japanese rock band), LM.C(Japanese rock band) and Seremedy (Visual kei band from Sweden, inspired by Japanese rock). :3 I feel so happy when i listen to them! :´´) When I listen to Korean pop (not so often) I mostly listen to G-Dragon, BigBang and 2NE1.
